Default Engine Upgrades

I am looking to boost the hp and torque of my 96 CI engine. It's completely stock. I have been toying with idea of swapping it out for a CVO 110 but friend says I would be better off to put a stage 4 kit in it. I have looked on line don't see a stage 4 for a 08 with a 96 in it.

107" big bore motor kit from aftermarket builder would be a better choice.

And less expensive too.

Don’t sleep on a stage 2 with the Andrews 48H cams. I put them in my 96” and it really made a difference. Lots of reviews on here.

As other mentioned get a 107 kit from builder, look at S&S kits (they offer many including 110) or just throw a cam in a see….Andrews 48 have great reviews. You’ll get more HP and higher reliability at a cheaper cost other than what HD can offer.

I had an '08 Ultra with the 96". I did the SE 103 kit and it was a MUCH better engine than the 103's in the '12 and current '14. It had the 255 cams and was a really good engine.

Id have to agree with eveyrone else. Go with a proven thing like fuel moto with badass customer support. If the cvo110 is cheaper then id go for it myself personally but then ur stuck coming here for tips and questions lol
