Now you can have bluetooth wireless communication and a video camera all in one for only $500.

Not my thing either, and that ugly helmet isn't included for the $500.

REALLY enjoying videoing my long trips and making rider-log type videos set to music. I have a full setup for this and it doesn't include that helmet...

There's a lot of people that do that, but most of us old farts don't. We just ride.

I didn't for many, many years until recently. Just a new hobby as I get older and want to remember things.
I'd show ya, but Youtube won't let me since all the music is copyrighted - something new I learned... bastards.

Interesting. Looks like they have the new 50S headsets available now too:

https://www.harley-davidson.com/us/e...gle/p/76001178

Includes Harley-DavidsonŽ Audio powered by Rockford FosgateŽ Stage I Speakers for Wireless Headsets. Wonder if those are any better than the Sena HD speakers I upgraded to for my 30K headset. Not much reason for me to upgrade from the 30K to 50S otherwise. If so I wonder if they'll sell them separately. Should have looked around first, looks like they do offer them separately:

That is how cops prevent people from filming them during stop. They play a song loud enough for the mic on a video to pick it up. This way, the video will not end up on YouTube.

I am thinking about doing the video setup. I think some cool personal riding videos on a long trip would be awesome to watch. The cameras came such a long way. Especially with the 360 stuff they have now. It’s amazing.

@lp You _can_ get DRM free music, but usually it blows. I know it's nice to insert a Highway to Hell, Freebird, Sweet Home Alabama in the videos, but to post em, you can, but if you were getting 100,000+ views then you wouldn't be monetized. So your efforts would pay the music copyright owners, not you.

I've found sample music around the internet, and goofed around with Garageband as I run an apple. I too have a youtube account, but it's more to share some videos with friends, and enhance my prowess, and maybe my "craft" on editing the videos and not just dumping a bunch of crap riding the same long road for miles and miles.
I have been trying to capture longer rides using time warp, so It moves faster, the video is shorter, and you can pause the video as it captures the scene, just it is kinda like fast forwarding. Really I need a second GoPro to switch between the two. Or pause the timewarp, and then record normal video.

I will admit, the GoPro 9 works really well for me. I dunno, I don't think I'll buy the 10 in the case of one-up-manship. I know the batteries are interchangeable, but I keep my GoPro plugged into a USB charging all the time, as the batteries are fast depleted. I might wait and see what the 11 or 12 looks like. The Max is interesting, as it does 360ş video, but then that is a whole different animal.

I had a Contour2 previously. I prefered it's design better, but the auto white balance took a dump, and Contour went under. I can [could] select the different white balance modes, but then when the clouds roll in, or the sun comes out - well it needs to be played with. and if you're going 85 mph holding a moccachino and updating your instagram, it's hard to adjust the camera effectively. [/sarcasm ] The GoPro is a bit of a brick, and the Contour was a little "sleeker." The combo SENA 50C is interesting, and now rebranded with Harley-Davidson, it will do the stereo on the WHIM. I have a perfectly [ha ha] functioning 30K, so for now - I'll stay there.

I'm looking forward to some longer rides this summer.

Come on spring...

I just use a gopro hero9 with an accessory mic inside my helmet for my youtube channel. It lets you get a front/forward/first person view which is preferable to the side view (some find the side view either disorienting, strange, or just hate it for aesthetic reasons).

I remember seeing the original model (10C) made by Sena. This model looks to be a rebranded version of the newer 50C. The 10C didn't do well in reviews, the 50C is new & even more expensive with no reviews on Revzilla yet so who knows if it's better.
