Using a constant charging trickle charger, you risk the chance of "boiling" the water out of the battery. The AGMs have a check valve that allows gases out. A smart tender will charge only when the battery hits a pre-determined charge level and turn off the charge when required voltage is attained (floating feature). Easy thing first, access your relays and swap the starter relay with the system relay. If you are on the original battery, then replacement is in order.
