CONGRATS! on the new bike.. Now time to stock up on the MODS over winter
You read my mind. Before the bike rolls out of the shop, it'll be modified:
[ul][*] Handlebars that are easier to reach (anybody have the "reduced reach" bars for $50, p.458, part #56152-04?)[*] Sundowner seat for the RK Classic - Matching backrests - removeable sissy bar on rear[*] Possibly replace the stock saddlebag protector bars with tapered for passenger comfort[*] Screamin' eagle slip-on mufflers or V&H or....??? I'm planning on going to some bike shows in the spring to look & listen. I like the online sound clip of the V&H oval slip-ons--low and "lugging" sound--which may have to do with gearing and revs more than the actual muffler. Can't tell with sound clips anyway.[*] Stage 1 breather kit w/ remapping[*] Anti-theft with siren
[/ul]
In addition, "I'll be Chrome for Christmas" -- visor style light rings.
If anyone has any of this stuff, I'd like to know how you like it!
Thanks for the kind words, mcpastor. Yes, they are the Screamin' Eagle One-Piece Slash Down Performance Mufflers (SEIIs for Touring bikes). Part #64903-99.
Here's
a link for them with a discounted price. I love them.
The SE Slip-Ons are GREAT sounding pipes, but i decided to change out mine to the V&H Ovals because I REALLY love the look. I don't have the Ovals installed yet as i just ordered them over the weekend.
If you decide on the SE Slip-ons i don't think you will be dissapointed, UNLESS you want a loud obnoxious pipe which these aren't.
