Default Sound system without a fairing?

Hey guys I'm wanting to put a decent (not crazy or high powered) sound system in my 99 RK but I don't want a fairing. I prefer to not even use the windshield but I do use it when I ride out of town. I usual just use my helmet but when we go to Daytona I lose my helmet then have no music so what do yall without fairings do for sound? I've debated on lower fairings with speakers but idk how good they sound and still don't know what to use for a receiver. I'll use Pandora on my phone so don't need an actual radio. Thanks for any suggestions

SENA BLUTETOOTH inside helmet....Speakers are incredible, sync's to your phone, if you are two-up riding, your passenger and you can communicate. I don't understand why some people spend tons of money on stereo systems so they can blast obnoxious music at a stop light and can't hear anything while buzzing down the Interstate

I agree with the feedback so far - I just sold my RK and replaced it with an Ultra Limited.

On my RK I always listened to satellite radio from my phone to the Sena in my modular helmet via Bluetooth - and then used ear buds with my half helmet = best sound quality, noise canceling if wanted/needed, and no added equipment on the bike.

Sorry, can't help. The wind, sights, smells, feel of the road and sound of the motor are my music.

Harley has that new saddle bag Bluetooth sound system out now. Looks pretty good. I feel like everything is heading in the Bluetooth direction lately anyway. I'm sure there's some wild aftermarket solutions available as well.

These might be what you're looking for. They mount on the crash bars and has an amp and bluetooth. They also have units that mount on the handle bars.

Sena half-helmet headset works great, and will work when you aren't sporting the lid.

I use one and it's fairly comfortable and sounds pretty good. I was surprised by the performance.
