Default Half Helmets ?

What are y'all using for good comfortable half helmets? Rode for many years without one but now with grandchildren, I have a different mindset. I know the value of full face helmets but just am not interested. Need something that meets DOT approval standards and is time tested.

Thanks

I like the Harley UltraLite. It’s comfortable. They probably discontinued it because it’s nice…

I wore an LS2 Rebellion for a couple of years, then found a Twister 2.0 at a local shop. It's so light it's like not wearing one at all. It's DOT, but I have zero faith that it will truly provide any protection, but I also believe that any half helmet won't do much.

My favorite helmet is my Shoei RJ Platinum R it’s a 3/4 I know… I use my 1/2 locally but I like to have ear protection.

Not sure why you'd pay $119 when you can pay $39.

I didn't pay $119, and I didn't buy off that website - I used it as an example.

blackbeardsgear.com or bikerhelmets.com have some of the lightest and most comfortable half shells I’ve worn.

Very old advertisement: If your head is worth $10, buy a $10 helmet. If it is worth more, buy a Bell....

What ever happened to the Snell certification? don't see it much any more. Isn't DOT basically a useless rating, like being UL listed?
