Default Heated Gear

Looking into getting some heated pants/pant liners. What have you guys found that works the best?

Also are the rechargeable batter packs any good?

And can I plug the pants into the output for my trickle charger if I go 12v?

I use GERBINGS........jacket liner and gloves.
Tried the socks but they tend to bunch up under foot, they work well though.
Get the wireless controls.
Jacket and glove on one section, pants and socks on another.
The outlet is different between the tenders and the heated gear controlers.

Gerbings is great stuff! I've used original Tourmaster Synergy gear for many years here in Colorado. I had a controller go out on me under warranty, replaced overnight without any questions! I have jacket, overpant liners, and gloves. I never bothered w/ electric sockets since I wear some pretty decent Moreno wool socks. I rode straight through in pouring thunder storm rain from Casey Illinois to the Colorado border in my electric gear, and it worked like a charm! It still works too.

I wouldn't touch battery gear, just me. I've always used secure SAE connections, don't have to worry about charging batteries or losing power during multi day rides. Just plug and play.

Looks like Tourmaster has updated their gear since I purchased mine.

I use Gerbing gear. I have a liner and gloves that I generally use below 45 degree. If Im going on a long trip (300 mile +) in below freezing temps, then I break out the jacket and pants. I run them off the coax heated harness to the battery and I keep an sae adapter handy just in case my fuse blows and I can plug into the battery tender lead till I can change the fuse under the seat. Hope this helps. Not a fan of battery packs for the type of riding I do. As far as controllers, simpler is better for me. i use a single temp controller for liner and gloves e.g. and have really felt the need to have separate controllers for each.

I use GERBINGS........jacket liner and gloves. I have considered battery powered Joe Rocket gloves for those days when I dont want to plug in.

I have First Gear jacket liner and gloves. Got the liner on sale a few years back. Then added the dual adjuster set up to control the heat to the liner and gloves individually. I also use a pair pants with two removable liners from Sedeci. Word of caution when buying gear of different brands, especially HD. I found out the hard way HD has their male and female connectors opposite most other brands. I could also never find a splice to make them work.

I have hot wired glove liners and jacket liner. Bought them toward the end of last year to extend my season a little. They've been great. I tried the full glove first, but they didn't work to the ends of my fingers. The liners with a decent pair of medium thick gloves are perfect.

Damn, I just looked at that link, I think I only paid like $135 for both the jacket liner and the glove liners...

Ive had several brands of heated gear over the last 25 years. Gerbings is very good .Ive had the jacket liner, pants liner ,socks and gloves.I ride 12 months in NY and commuted for about 10 years. The gear would last about 10 years based on use. I had to replace the jacket liner and gloves after about 10 years and the pant liner and socks have never been replaced but they only get used a few times a year on long distance rides. I needed to replace the gloves and controller in 2019 and went with Warm and safe . I have to say they have the best controller on the market. 20 years ago Gerbings used to use their controller before they went cheap and started selling an inferior controller. I know that from experience I went thru 2 of them in just a few years.
Ive had a the Warm and Safe jacket , gloves and controller and I would say they are the best on the market at present. The items warm up instantly and have even heating .
