Can the heated pant liners connect to the battery tender wiring OR should new leads be ran from the battery to the SAE connector??
Is the BT a SAE connection? If it is, you're good. It's just a wired connection to the battery. Just make sure there's a inline fuse on the heated gear side of the connection so you don't have any bad ju ju if the heated gear decides to go south on you.

Tried the socks but they tend to bunch up under foot, they work well though.

I thought the jacket was on one connector/section and the gloves (along with the pants, socks) on the second connector/section. The reason they do this is because the jacket draws more current than the gloves, pants, socks.
You also might want to take a look at the California-Heat products. I just purchased their jacket liner, and it looks pretty good.
