Amen. Stepping back, taking a deep breath, researching, working with Asst. Shop Manager, Parts Manager, Sales Manager and coming up with the right decision. I'll report back when whatever is going to be living with me is in my garage. Thanks for all the encouragement, advice, positive and negative responses. The bottom line is, I'm happy and both dealers are happy. Dealer in Lubbock has been compensated for their time, paperwork, Credit Card Charges, whatever. Local dealer is pleased with my business, I've been a really good customer for a lot of years. I've come to the conclusion I was trying to make decisions without having enough information to make them. Everyone is working on that with me now. It's what I should have done to begin with, But I didn't.
Have a blast! I have found the 114 just likes to keep climbing over 80 mph, tickets are way too expensive with the insurance as an older rider, so use the cruise control. At least that is the way I can control myself most of the time. Sometimes you just have to humiliate the cager.
Nice bike but if you were spending 8-9k on performance mods your 107 would of been a lot more than the 114 has to offer. I hope you didn't buy from the same dealer doing the mods
I was wondering the same thing. Treat you like crap and buy a bike from them?

Good luck I hope you find the right bike for you and get some miles down this spring.
Sounds like you didnt go with the dealer in Lubbock, but if you had, know that they are top notch. Brother in law and I were riding to Sturgis two years ago and he had a blowout on his rear tire about 20 miles outside of Lubbock in the middle of nowhere late on a Friday. We were coming up from Austin on the way to Trinidad Colorado that day.
We called Wild West Harley and they picked up his bike and they knocked out his rear tire to get us back on the road in no time. Cant say enough about their service dept.
