Any recommendations for extended heel shifter? I still have stock ones installed. I don't mind replacing them, but HD doesn't have ones I like. I noticed today that my floorboards are not lined up the best they could be. My left one on the shifter side is kind of back. When I place my foot on it, my feel touches the heel shifter and I could still have like 2 more inches to the back of the floorboards.
If I was going to remove the heel shifter (I use it sometimes, and the only reason why I keep it is in case I have an emergency break down with the toe one), but I wouldn't care if I removed it. If I did, do I need to also replace the part that the shifters mount on, or do I put some kind of spacer in there so it doesn't stick out as much?
Google Search "Extended Heel Shifter Harley" and you'll find several. Some more expensive than others. But I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for.

Never had a breakdown of a toe shifter. Rubber spacer, Chrome or Black cover or extended shifter, all good choices depending on what you truly want. I alway remove heel shifter. Some people have a tendency to be heavy on the heel and that has caused issues.
Best thing I did as far as floorboards go is the spacer kit that moves the boards out, I also have extended boards, and highway pegs level with my boards so I have lots of room to reposition while riding.
