Default Heated grips

I need some help, no service manual and I'm installing heated grips on my 20 street glide. Where do I plug them in? I can't find a connection point under the faring. Any help would be appreciated.

You should be fine with just the directions that came with the factory heated grips, they are usually very descriptive.

I installed heated grips on a 2020 Street Glide.

Once you have the front fairing off, and you are facing the front of the bike, the plug is on the lower right side. There was another thread on here recently with pictures. The heated grip wires will not match the color of the accessory wires.

Hey....So I bought the KST 12" Bisons and a set of Kahuna heated grips on my 2020 Streetglide Special. I found that the extension wire, purchased with the KST bars, for the left hand clutch switch cluster was short by a couple of inches. Also, the male plug just barely touches the port that it is to be plugged into, let alone bend around and plug into the receptacle. Also, after dropping the heated grip extension wire down to the lower right hand side of the fairing, I found a female plug with violet/blue and black wires mounted to the bike in the right area, but the extension connector and the one mounted on the bike are not compatible. I almost want to splice into that wire as I think it is a 12v supply expressly for the heated grips but can't seem to find out why the connectors don't jive. Called the local HD shop and the service department advised that I would need a power kit. I think she was wrong. Any luck with what you found riding out?

2017 RK. All the power kit did for me was make it a little bit cleaner to tap into a connector for switched power located behind the right side plastic cover (avoid a splice). That same connector is used to supply power for the optional engine/rider cooling fan kit which I assume would work on your bike.

If I had thrown all the instructions away and just looked for a switched power source & ran wires as needed it would have been a much faster and less irritating job.

Too funny, I feel so stupid. Late last night I went to see if I could find the right connector that may or not be hidden. Again, I found the existing connector with the violet/blue and black wire. There is no way it would match my new wire brought down from the bars....due to the fact that there was a protective dummy plug inserted in it already. I removed the plug and my new red/black wired connector snapped right in. No kidding, I tried a few times earlier to marry the two in desperation. Someone mentioned to take a strong flashlight and search around. It was after really inspecting the end of the plug that I realized that the dummy plug was there....so relieved. Thanks all.

Sorry I took so long to get back,I see you figured it out. That plug is what threw me off too. I had to look at it twice before I figured it out. Love these grips.

Trust me, you are not the first or last. I may have done that myself
