Yes, should be plug and play. It seems there have been different options through the years of how well they work. I had a Hog Tunes hidden antenna years ago and it worked great.
I've had one on my RGU for about 5 years, works great... string it out as wide across the inside of the fairing as you can, and plug it in to the head unit.
I added the HD hidden antenna to our 21 SGS and actually like it. It was necessary because we installed the SE Ohlins remote reservoir shocks.
