Ok, so I bought a 2008 Electra Glide Ultra 105 anniversary edition in November. Ever since bringing the bike home the key fob on my 2021 Ram Rebel won’t work. Same goes for any remote on a Subaru, Hyundai and apparently Chevy. My neighbors across the street and down a house are also experiencing the same thing. My wife Lincoln is unaffected as are fords. I know it’s the bike not only because the timing fits but if I take out the primary fuse the problem goes away and all the remotes work perfectly. I took it in for the 50k service and the techs couldn’t figure it out. Spoke to the prior owner and there’s he unhooked the security system and there is no lo-jack. It does have a aftermarket Rockford fosgate stereo and a Thundermax tuner in at. I’m clueless but my neighbors are cranked and I’d love my truck remote to work properly. Any ideas? Anyone ever experienced anything like this before?
Do you get a red flashing light when the bike is off? If so the security is active.
The security can't be "disconnected". It's part of the turn signal module TSSM. Unless it was replaced with a non security TSM the security is still active.
The TSSM is round cone shape part under the right side cover. I don't recall reading of a similar problem so no definitive answer. You could try placing aluminum foil loosely around it to limit the effective range.
Let us know what works.
Thanks, I’ll take a look at that. The red key light does come on intermittently but only when the bike is powered on. Sometimes even when I’m riding. I bought faraday fabric and made a motorcycle cover and that didn’t even stop it so I’m guessing tin foil won’t either but I’ll try anything
That is weird. Let us know when/if you figure it out. When I owned a Ram 1500 me and 3 buddies who also owned Rams couldn't unlock unlock our trucks one night when we were parked at the local arena. It was like all our fobs were dead. Another buddies Chevy had no problem. After about a half hour all our Dodge fobs started working again. No idea what caused it.

I may be wrong but I saw somewhere that if red light on speedo blinks while riding/or on, it means key fob battery is about to die.
[QUOTE=Rob175;20565634]Perhaps massive temporary radio interference in that area?.....or Russians jamming our FOB's?....Dam Putin!!!!
Lol, The RFI travels with the bike. I can go into a parking lot and watch people not be able to use their key fobs…..once I pull away everything works fine.
Disconnecting the security system would require replacing the flasher module. I would disconnect the radio and then the tuner to eliminate them. After that, pull the fuse for the flasher module, then other fuses one at a time to locate the circuit that is causing the problem...
We have the problem in France, during stops at toll stations... It's linked to the interference of automatic payment terminals.
It's not always, but often, and depending on the brands of motorcycles... But I don't have the solution,
