Hello all, just took a little ride out to the coast this weekend and I have decided I need a new seat. Just to let you know, I've got EG standard that I ride mostly without a tour pack and a Street Glide seat, no problem. What I would like to do is replace my touring set-up. Tourpack and HD's Air Zepplin Seat. I hate it. It sits me up too high and forward. It almost feels like i'm sitting on the gas tank but the wife likes the comfortable passengerride.
Any suggestions for a good, comfortable touring seat that sits low, back and has a comfortable passenger area. Your opinions are greatly appreciated.
One idea if ya live on the West-Coast... Corbin will make you one while you visit there place in Holister, Ca you can try it ride it and if it feels right then they'll cover it and your good to go...
I have many friends buy different seats only to find out it wasn't the one for them.... Gets old after 2 or 3 seats (lol)
Check out C & C Seats. They are in SoCal and have a Sport Tourer seat that many say is great. They are a sponsor of this forum. Look on the right side of the screen and you will find there ad and click. I understand they will build it like you want it.
If you decide on an Air Zeppelin, I have a leather one for sale. I've had it on for about 2K miles. Like new. It was too wide for me. $525.00 and I'll ship it to you in the US.
check www.diamondseats.com, they will make you a seat based on weight height and inseam. I have one on a Valkyrie and had 2 on GW. May be looking for one for the Ultra next season. Very comfortable ride.
Can't believe noone has mentioned Allen (BadX). His shop, www.meancitycycles.com reworks your existing seat to however you want it. It is much cheaper than a new seat, and I have not read a single complaint about the work he does.
EDIT: Doh! Thanks for the heads up. I am a hunt and peck kind of guy. I usually read over my posts, but I guess I missed it.
