I know there are post all over this board about exhaust.
I hoping to get some advise from you guys. Sound is not my main reason to switch, although important. I'm trying to get my bike, 07 UC (stock) to run cooler. question is: I'm not sure if I should do TD or slips ons. If I get rid of the cross over will this help, or will slip ons with fule management do just as well? I'm going to get the PC111 and stage 1 air filter for sure. Not decided on exhaust yet. Trying to get best bang for the buck..cooling is more important to me than sound. Any suggestions
The stock mufflers no doubt flow enough if you're okay with the (lack of) noise they produce. Just get any one of the fuelers (V&H, Dynojet, etc.) and put enough gas into the engine so it doesn't go into thermonuclear meltdown at the EPA-mandated air/fuel ratios. The lean-running condition is the biggest bulk of the heat source.
