Soft Lowers.....worth it?

Greetings,

Exploring options for the new RG. Are you liking your Soft Lowers for your Touring bike? Any downsides?

Short answer is yes I like them, I only run them in the cooler months take them over is the summer.

Cold and rainy weather they are great. I carry them early spring and late fall.

As stated above, I use mine in cooler and wet weather. They come off in the summer. As far as I'm concerned, they work great. I'm always after comfort and performance over looks.

Another soft lower user. They are worth it in the cooler months and rain. I take mine off in the summer and store them in my saddlebag

I like mine as well, really make a difference in cold weather, easy to take on and of, they don’t take up much space in my saddlebag.

I ride in cold weather . Had a good set of soft lowers on my 07 RG and the served me well.

I have a set of HD branded soft lowers for my SGS, and a set that I picked up on Amazon for my Heritage. The set from Amazon is every bit as good as the HD branded set at half the cost. So, if you get some don't rule out other brands.
