Depends on which one your after . I put a visor headlight trim on mine , looks great , but what pita . The passing lamp visors fit perfect , but the headlight ( according to instructions ) say that you have to install it over the factory headlight trim . I found after I had done that , there was a huge gap at the bottom of the trim which couldn't be tightened enough to make it close , fit was loose . I ended up removing the original trim , cut and bent tabs in the headlight housing , then installed the new trim , fit perfect , tight and no gaps . The tabs I cut / bent on the headlight housing made the trim fit tight and kept it from moving .
All you need is a dremel tool with a cut off disc and a small hammer . Removing the headlight and housing is best , you can leave the headlight in the housing , but you'll have to remove the bulb before you start . I recommend purchasing new headlight set screws as well , the old ones can be a pain to reinstall .
These are the set screws I'm talking about . ( #5 )
Not pretty , but it works . I did remove the complete headlight / housing before cutting the tabs ( this won't affect headlight setting / aiming ) . After it was off , I removed the bulb and started cutting , then bent and hammered the tabs flat , so they would sit flat against the chrome nacelle . The job took less than 2hrs , not hard at all , once I got new headlight screws , lol .
As you can see , I made about 5-6 tabs , once you get the tabs pounded flat , you'll have to grind / file them down , so they don't extend past the nacelle .
Am working off on a ship and won't be home until 6th of June.
But I have all 3 rings (chrome) you can have for free.
You can just paypal me shipping after you receive them.
There is 1 small ding in headlight visor that ya can't even see unless you are looking for it. Visor type on headlight as well as wider straighter with small lip all around on spot lights. See small ding but truly have to look for it or know it is there. All Chrome is perfect.
Before you start doing this mod , I would check with the dealer and find out if there have been any improvements made to their visors , might just fit without any issues .
That is very generous and kind of you. I have a 2019 Road King Standard. We can talk later when you get home.
Thank you very much.
Just hit me up around 6th of June. Mine is 2019 as well.
I didn't install as it was on bike when purchased.
I actually posted these pictures wanting to trade back to stock when I was informed that it was just over the stock headlight ring.😂🤦♂️
I had the stock spotlight rings already and they are definitely not just a cover.
