I have had that 5 amp fuse blow a couple of times, could not figure out the reason. My battery tender will just blink red looking like it was not hooked up. Mine will glow red when charging, green when charged and blink red when not hooked up.
Only reason I can figure is if I plug the tender in hot, it gets some sort of surge and blows the fuse. Once replaced it works correctly, has only happened twice since I got my trike in 2019.
My issue was the tender lead attached to the bike. It was the 20 amp accessory fuse, all is well again. It knocked out my tender lead, my amp, and my cigarette lighter that I know of. My fault, I must have messed up and blown the fuse. I also had about 6 different engine codes I had to clear. Apparently something important was unplugged when I powered up the bike, they were all related to lost comms. Thanks guys.

I was using it to test some lights last fall with a jumper, didnt realize it was dead until today when I tried to test some new ones. Put a multi-meter on it and it showed nothing.
Curious, what were you using for a "jumper", and how was it attached to the factory tender connector?

I had a battery tender go bad last year so I cut off about 12" of the cord and exposed the wires on the cut end. So I can just plug it into my tender lead and I have a 12 volt power and ground for testing.
