Thanks for that info kojak...good to know. I'd be interested in hearing a report back from you on how they handle the loaded up 2 week tour.

I'm 205 and GF 130. I'm having mine changed to the HD springs after our long trip out west hauling all our gear. We were just too much for the standard springs...
No matter what I tried, I couldn't turn up enough spring, nor dial in enough "compression" to keep them from continually bottoming out.

For whatever reason, in my case, the dial had no effect on compression, only rebound. I probably broke something.

It's probably do to the shock bottoming out so hard that it would bounce your asses up into the air..

lol probably. I was really wondering if the dial really affects oil flow in both directions (compression and rebound) but my *** is so heavy it just blows through the compression easily leaving the rebound coming up slow after.

It's funny though. Try it. Run that dial say about 8-9 clicks and after your next bug bump you'll be riding a low rider for a few seconds.

All in fun..

One thing to note is that in the video in reply #7, the kid says dialing in the low speed will affect the rebound from bottomed out ( @ 3:00 minutes).. I suspect that is what you are feeling.

Have you tried adjusting the high speed? A bump / pothole is really a high speed issue. Also I suspect that the high speed setting won't affect rebound sticking. I know they say not to mess with it but I never listen to instructions.

Ahh, that makes sense. Definitely can feel it slow the rebound in that top range like he says. I probably wouldn't get in that zone as fast if I had the right springs. I still need to send them in...

And yeah, I'm gonna mess with the red *****. Something to try... Thanks!

Yeah. Definitely try the high speed compression damping.. IMO with light springs, both low and high damping will need to be adjusted.

I have the RWD shocks they are great ! We have a combined weight of about 350. I went with the H-D springs. We went on the Spring Heat Tour in April , the 2 of us and all our gear and I had the black **** set at 3 or 4 clicks. We went 2600 miles in 9 days , the shocks performed great !

Welcome. Take in mind, we probably had 50+ pounds of junk with us too. We were well over 350.
