Ive got a 2003 electraglide that's got 5.25 direct drive S&S cams with a K&N filter with a set of SharkRoad slip on mufflers, and it's running lean. I've replaced the entire fuel system, the map sensor, and upgraded to the power commander 5 and it my dyno tech can not seem to get it to stop running super lean. My dyno tech told me that its running at 14.1-16.1 and no matter how much fuel he tryst to add to it it doesn't make a difference. I'm at a loss of what's going on with it. Could it be a possible failed ecm?
Maybe need to upgrade O2sensors? I don't know why your Dyno guy can't figure it out. Call the folks you got the tuner from and see if they can help, I kinda like Power Vision,
It doesn't have O2 sensors on it. Yeah I don't understand why he can't figure it out either. He thinks it's either the ecm pin or even the ecm itself but isn't certain.
Not sure what your fuel ratio should be, but I would pull your sparkplugs and see what they tell ya.
Most dyno tuners shoot for 13.1.
but youre right. The plugs would at least be an indicator as to a false read, but it sounds like the tuner is getting the AFR readings from a sniffer connected to the dyno.
Fuel pressure out of the pump is? Taken at the take off point under the tank.
The reason I have 2008 head pipes on my 2003 bike is so I can have O2 sensors the tuner can read and self adjust.
If the pressure regulator is garbage, if there are split hoses in the tank, or any other reason why the bike is not delivering the volume or pressure required, you can change as many parts as you want or play with the tune all day long, you can't improve what is not there.
