Same Thing happened to my 2000 Roadking with the M&M fuel delivery system. It started to do the same thing that your bike would do. Check the fuel line inside the tank and sure enough it had 2 pin holes worn into the longer of the 2 fuel lines. The fuel starvation would only happen when I got below 1/2 a tank. At the time I couldn't fine the corrugated plastic fuel line so I replaced it with rubber fuel line that is rated to be submerged in gas. I did it over 10 years ago and 70,000 miles ago and have not had any fuel related problems since. If your bike has the stock cam chain tensioners it would to your benefit to check them for wear and possible failure. They're treads on the forum on how to do the inspection.

I looked up how to check, when I turn fuel pump on I hear it come on and then afterwards a small hissing noise. I can only assume thats from a pinhole in the hose.

If you use aftermarket Neoprene hose, NAPA sells R-10 Neoprene which is gas submersible rated. (About $10 / ft.)

I have an 03 FLHRCI, finally checked my chain tentioners at 31k. Guess I was lucky, was just at the Last sliver of pad. If U not sure about them, checkum. They are the hand grenade with the pin pulled. Cheep way out, new tensioners and rear or both sets cam bearings. I went with the conversion plate and "The, While I was in there list" also. Hope your gas issue is no more than an old hose.
Update on my issue, replaced fuel filter, pump, and regulator. Checked cam tensioner shoes and put new gas in the bike. Cranked it up and it Was idling perfectly. Once it got hot I took it on test ride and same thing. Keep wanting to bog down on me. Pulled clutch in a romped down on throttle and RPMs would go up, but was still wanting to bog down. My next guess would be throttle sensor or ignition coils. Spark plugs are new as well.
Anybody thats ever run across this, any help would be fantastic.
