I think there will be a combination for years.

Battery and charging technology is incredible. Lead acid last for years. 300k on my truck, 9 years, and was still going fine. Bike batteries 7. Now add new types.

I am in rush to buy one. But I realize the world is change.

Funny as it sounds I don't think something that flies foot off the ground is impossible in 20 years. Sci-fi becomes reality

Yeah..... but the smallest SeaKeeper weighs 365lbs and costs $15K before installation...

Luckily I won't see it in my lifetime... I'm not big on all the nanny devices dumbing down the skillset to ride a motorcycle (or drive a car, a truck, an RV...)....

Why ride a bike if you don't have to balance and lean it...?

I don't want one know. But I am not a dinosaur,so never say never. I just want to ride. If they had better reliability and less maintenance I would. I said if

I didn't insist I would always have a kickstart, or puny engine. Even got music on one bike. Times changed.

Things will change alit next 10-15 years
You are correct, dinosaurs like us are on the way out and H-D knows it.
The infrastructure will come,I work nearby the Freightliner Semi truck factory part of Daimler Benz these days and I work as a local truck driver.
I've been seeing their new Cascadia EV truck around town a lot lately, first just bobtail and today with a 53' trailer.
Maybe they know something we don't?
I have no doubt H-D has plans for bigger E-bikes no doubt at all.

No thanks.

I have not seen an HD charging station at any of the lonesome highway motels we stay at out on a 2 week bike trip.

I can see it now; the 2024 line has the new E-bagger, the interstate freeway map with the charging stations programmed into your Boom! GTXE head unit.

Should be a blast

Yes it will have a sidecar to hold the batteries. And a trip planner that will only allow you to ride where there are chargers.

It'll be out just in time for the electrical grids to crash from being out dated and over worked cause the green heads have no care to forsee anything that conflicts with their plan. Their plan for those that don't know is to set up their family, friends and donors in the green business and shove it down our throats. If I keep going I'll have to jump to the political section. Sorry rant over.

I think it will happen. Not soon, but it will. If they can do 300 miles on a quick charge that takes 10 minutes and easily available charging network, the “e-baggers” could become popular. Not for 90% on this forum but this group is just a tiny group of HD owners. Let’s be honest. Most here are older generation who absolutely hates change. Like it or not, that is where the world is moving towards.

Now, if I think about crazy acceleration delivery, smooth power, almost no vibrations, potential for constant improvements, less maintenance, and all the other benefits that could come with it, then why wouldn’t I want it vs. riding on top of a sawing machine? I am willing to trade the “bbbbbrrrrrrrrrrrr blap blap bbbbrrr” sound for those other factors. But, I am a fan of newer tech stuff and that is more appealing to me.
