Hello everyone, almost 50k on this bike, never had a starting issue until today. Gave it a good wash then went for a ride. Check engine light came on. Codes ECM PO154, PO562, speedometer 61210 and 61211. 3 had to do with low voltage and 1 related to an O2 sensor. I thought that if I possibly could have knocked something loose as I was washing it and I did find a connection at the O2 sensor that was loose. Secured the wire. I also had the battery checked, tested good. 12.4 v and 11v under load. It turns over once or twice then a stuttering series of clicks. All battery connections are clean and tight. Checked the fuses. I'm a little suspicious that it happened just after I washed it. Any advice on what to do next would be appreciated.
Funniest thing...just after posting this thread, the bike fired up and ran like always. Rode about 10 miles, no check engine light yet. Guess we'll see...
how old is the battery. past weekend took my bike off the tender turned over 2 times then it started clicking. checked voltage...12.4. checked voltage while cranking and it was 10 something. I had a new battery on the charger..installed it and all good. battery was a little over 3 years old. granted I'm pulling 2000 watts when I crank up the radio when parking lot pimping so I knew it was on borrowed time. if yours is old I see a new one in your future.
When you washed your bike, did you by chance use a high pressure washer and point the wand directly at any of the connectors and sensors on the bike? High pressure washers shouldn't be used because there's always a risk of water can be forced into places it shouldn't be.
If you used a high pressure washer, then water incursion could have been your problem. If not.. It was my best guess

A high pressure BLOWER can send water droplets into bad places too. Don't use one anywhere near your INFOTAINMENT and other gauges. Just something to consider.
