Default 02 Electra Glide

Long post here. I have changed the fuel system (pump, filter, regulator), crank sensor, spark plugs, wires, and ignition coils, injectors, throttle positioning sensor and put new gas in my bike. Still won’t crank. It will turn over and crank for maybe 5 seconds and cut back off. It will continue to do this until battery dies. BUT I sprayed starter fluid in today and it cranked up and acted perfect until starter fluid ran out. Any suggestions on where to start.

bike is showing no codes. I was thinking maybe gummed up injector ports? But I’m not sure how to clean those.

have taken quick connect hose off of tank that leads to injectors and when I hit fuel pump button it comes out just fine. So I know the pump is working properly. I have compression with no spark plugs in. I’m at my wits end trying to figure this thing out.

If you have fuel to the injectors, but no fuel (or little fuel) going past the injectors into the throttle body.... it kind of boils it down to two things..

Either the injectors are not passing the fuel that they should when activated (mechanical issue with injector operation/flow).... or the injectors aren't being properly activated (electrical issue, injector not receiving or responding to the electrical pulse to fire)..

Got to find out which it is... IMHO, I would also check the fuel pressure, not just confirm fuel flow...

Based on what you have reported, and since you report new fuel injectors, I would start with wiring inspection and voltage at the fuel injector connectors...

I'm not good at the electrical side of things, but there are ways to check that the injector is getting the proper voltage to fire. Then verify the injector is operating when it gets the voltage to fire. Finally you need to verify the injector is passing the proper fuel when it's activated to fire...

I've read about a few ways to do this, but have no experience to know if it will work. Since I've never done this, I'll leave the process for someone who has, to explain details...

Good luck with your diagnosis ans report back what you find... that's how we all learn...

Cranking is what your starter motor does when you hit the switch. It sounds like it'll crank but won't fire up and run so that's the assumption I'm going to make.

Is there a tuner on the hike? If there is, try unplugging it to see if it'll start.

Can you get your hands on a noid light for checking the injector pulse at the connectors? That would be the easiest way to see if the ECM is trying to fire them and of the wiring is ok. A test light might work for this as well, just make sure you don't spread the pins in the connectors by trying to jam something in there.

Another fairly easy check would be to run your fingers down the wires near the injectors to see if you feel a narrow spot that would indicate a break inside the insulation.

Did you check for leaks in the hoses inside the fuel tank? They will develop pinholes, not allowing the injectors to get the proper fuel. Look for bubbles inside the tank when you turn the switch to pressurize the system.
