This my solution to checking and filling. Makes it easier with all the crap they put in the way of the valve. I am going to explore the possibilities others have listed here though.

My old home shop swore by the Motion Pro chuck, I never got around to getting one.

i've tried something similar with my 18'' rear tire, and between the stiffness of the sidewall and my arthritis, yeah, didn't work. good luck with it. on your limited, i believe you have a larger sidewall, so you may have good luck with it.

I'm not doubting the effectiveness of this extension hose, and I haven't used one, but isn't it even more of a hassle to thread the hose extension on the valve stem, top off the air with whatever air chuck you're using, and then unthread it off the valve stem again losing air if only minimal? Verses just hitting the valve stem with a flexible air chuck hose once and being done? Asking for a friend, lol......

I carry one of those hoses with my tire repair kit and compressor.. Handy dandy little extender for checking/adding air.

You beat me to it. If the OP struggles to get at the valve how does using the extender make the job easier? I have used those screw on connectors and others and the screw one loses more air than any other I have used.

I find this type the fastest to connect and release -

Last year when I bought 2 new tires for my bike I asked for valve extensions like the OP had, and my dealer refused to put them on because of previous failures. You would think whoever designs the wheels would consider the ergonomics of adding air.
I thought adding air to my ‘03 was difficult, but the 2012 is even worse.

I was about to add using 90° rubber valve stems but on a search the first article that came up was from a guy who has had two failures but months or years apart. Maybe he forgot the first one and was reminded of it the second time it happened.

I use these with a FOBO2 on top, makes it easy to add air on the side.
