Its a new to me bike so I just figured out where the battery is located. Going to check connections. 40 years of riding (racing) never experienced anything like this before.
But I’m new to Harleys.
The symptoms you describe have absolutely nothing to do with "Harleys".

Any motor vehicle (car, truck, motorcycle) can have the same experience you describe.

You push the starter button, it spins the motor over (but perhaps just a little slower than normal) so the engine doesn't actually start but then bam!! nothing.
As others mentioned, I would start with the battery. A battery that is on its last leg will work just fine one day, and then the next day fail to start the bike.

do what murph is saying but make sure the battery is fully charged. They can't test a dead battery and one that is low will not give good results. Chances are pretty good you'll need a new battery but check all the free stuff before you buy a new battery

Check your ground for a break or corrosion while you are in there.

Sounds like he blew his main fuse more than a bad battery.

Any electrical, or performance mods to rule-out (e.g. new bars, tuner, etc.)?

Then lastly when you know you have a good battery over 12.2 volts check it again with bike running with a volt meter and make sure you have 13.7 to 14 .7 volts at the battery with her running alive again to validate charging.

Good suggestion if the only issue was the starter not spinning the engine to start.
But in his post he also states the lights don't even turn on.
That "kill" switch does not prevent the lights from coming on when ignition is switched on.
