Hi I need a little help. I have a 2003 road kind 100th anniversary edition. When I get up past 60mph the odometer starts jumping all around. It will drop to zero, up to 70 ect. It's all over the place. It's doesn't effect how the bike runs whatsoever, it runs amazing. The only thing it affects is my cruise control. Any ideas what the issue could be? Bad ground? You'd be amazed at the weird sh*t thtat can cause.

 

What I would do first.. Check in manual and or locate speed sensor might google or you tube and clean it off.

 

Review battery connections, review voltage at high idle and review speed sensor.

Isn't the speed sensor on the front axle?

 

Top of transmission. My tack does that. My conclusion is it's the motor in the tac with my problem.

 

I'm voting speed sensor , #31 Check for error codes . Check connector for crimps , breaks etc , could be corrosion etc . Take it out and clean it off , if it improves , you'll know it's the sensor , cheap enough to replace .
