I don't wear a watch when I ride, but only because I have one on my bike. The only other time I don't wear a watch is when I'm on vacation and the time doesn't really matter.
I wear my watch all the time, the idea of not needing a watch while your riding is stupid, we all have to be someplace at a certain time, like home for supper, and if you don't have your watch your Mommy is going slap the **** out of you for being late. lot of bold talk for old one eyed fat men here..Frankly, I don't know anybody that leaves their watch at home on purpose..its all a crock, ya all just want to pretend to be Peter Fonda..[sm=icon_rofl.gif][sm=icon_rofl.gif]

I can believe you, some people just don't need them or want them, but the idea of everytime I go riding I leave my watch behind is kind of phony I think..I did not seriously start to wear one until I needed a second hand for plastic fusion at my job..now I feel naked without it, and trust me that is not a pretty sight.
I just got into watches. Used to hate them. Used to hate wearing them. Never understood the price some of them demand. Bought my first Tag a couple weeks ago and absolutely love it. As for wearing it on the bike, not really necessary seeing as the radio has a clock as well as the cell phone.

Gotta disagree with the consensus here...I'm a huge watch fan ("watch idiot savant" as we call it in the watch world...hence my login name here) and rarely am without one. I feel naked without a timepiece on my wrist. However, I can understand the feeling of escaping time. Just my $0.02.

i agree... if you could care less about life, wife, family, job, or whatever, then sure, toss it out... but i don't know many folks who can afford bikes that can afford to not care about something other than themselves eh??
