This place is like bringing a beer into an AA meeting…
I really want to pick up either the Rekluse or Mueller unit from Fuel Moto…sales on both last I checked.
I’m just a little nervous about the exhaust. I seem to have a bad sickness called brokenboltitis …it comes and goes…but never arrives at the opportune time…

I'm not sure what year or model bike you're riding, but on my 2020 the exhaust header slips over threaded studs and a simple hex nut snugs them in place. There was no possibility of bolt breakage there. Also, the torque specs for my headers (the hex nuts) were pretty soft, and they loosened up extremely easily with no effort.

I hear the twin cam dont need the exhaust removed but the M8's do. I tried prying on it but it was close.

I totally meant to trim the bottom of that goddamn cover before I put it back on. I rebuilt the engine that winter, and got excited to get it going. Forgot, and put the exhaust on. I hate pulling the exhaust on a bagger.
I went with both the Rekluse slave cylinder combined with a SoftBrakes reduced reach clutch lever. I prefer the friction zone to be as close as possible to the bar for slow-speed work. This works great!
Interesting, their website says it doesn't work with the Rekluse slave cylinder.
When I spoke to him about this after I already had the clutch lever installed for quite some time and was adding the Rekluse slave cylinder he recommended going with the 3/4" reduced lever instead of his standard 1". However, like I said I already had the clutch lever installed so figured I'd give it a try. It works great for me and everyone who has ever operated my bike. I don't know if some manufacturing variations can move the friction zone right up to the bar in some cases?? Is there someone out there who it hasn't worked well for who has tried this combination? Like I've said it works great on my bike. It would be interesting to know what prompted him to add this disclaimer.

I have to be honest I never looked that close damn. Thanks Stone.

Well, that sucks. There it is, in big black letters.. I understand it works for yours, but maybe yours isn't releasing quite100% and you just don't realize it? Only reason I can think of, other than him having customers that it didn't work for calling him. I am glad it is working for you though, I bet it feels nice when riding.
