Do you keep a battery tender connected when not riding your bike?
I never have but haven't kept same bike long enough to know if it adds longevity to the battery as many claim that it does.
Many have claimed 6 to 8 years of use on batteries on here using a tender religously.

I have always kept a Tender on my bikes. On the shovel and evo's i would get 5 to 8 years of service out of a battery. The touring bike not so much. 3 1/2 years seem to be about it evern being kept on a tender.
This is a brand new battery they sent me that is already 6 months old. Kinda disappointed with them.

I bought one from them in February, and it's been sitting on a shelf in my house since then. I pulled it out of the box yesterday, charged if overnight, and installed it this morning. What are you worried about? It's not a big deal.
I am currently waiting to see how good Battery Mart customer service is. It is too soon to post bad about them. I had bought a big crank etx30l battery for my 2013 ultra back in April. The old battery at 5 years old was showing signs of slow turnover now and again. So I replaced it.
Last week the bike wouldnt start after sitting for 10 days. I never use a tender unless I know its going to be sitting like over winter storage. Checked voltage and was at 10.7.
Reinstalled old battery and started fine and showed 14.25 volts running.
Put new battery on tender and immediately (like right now) indicated charged. Showed 12.88 volts. Left it on for 6 hours showing 13.25 volts. Disconnected overnight and showed 10.7 in morning.
So I opened a case with battery mart and we will see. I expect to hear from them in a few days. The battery was shipped back on their dime. So far I am happy.
Perhaps I just got a bad one. I dont know if I would do another online battery purchase. Am glad I held onto my old one it is destined to be put into my lawn tractor after I get the other resolved. Note - the tractor currently has a deka that is 10 years old from the last time I replaced a bike battery lol.
The thing is it will not come up any higher than 12.4 volts... I am not putting it in the bike until i see 12.7. If it does not come up it's going back in the morning and i will buy one local. Batteries plus or even i dealer battery. We were planning on getting out Friday and this is throwing a monkey wrench into my plans.

hardheaded- just a note that the one I mentioned above was also made on 2/22. Perhaps they got a bad batch? I got mine in April though. Wasnt but a couple months old. Good luck. I will update my experience with them in the next week or so.

Yeah, that's a little low. Mine was 12.75 when I installed it this morning.
I replaced a Napa Powersports battery in my 2012 Ultra Limited back in April. I went with a Yuasa model and its awesome. Came fully charged right out the box, and turns that 103 Twin Cam without any effort at all. Also has higher cranking amps than factory HD battery; 500 CCA if Im not mistaken.

Reason: Model number for battery
Close to or the same as oem. My next battery with be a stinger agm or lithium. I currently have a drag specialties battery , 500cca, thats been going strong for over a year and I never put it on a tender. Been drained a few times with a bad stator and messing with my music but charges right up and good to go.
