Well it's time for a new battery. My Deka Big Crank went belly up today after 3 years and 10 months. I think that's good service in a Tri-Glide. Lots of juice being pulled by these dressers now days.
The only thing is i was all ready to go and went out and the dreaded click, click noise. Damn , had my sun screen on and everything. The lesson learned here today was change out the battery every 3 years no matter what. That's what i am going to do from now on.
After all this is not my old Pan or Shovel that i use to just roll down the hill and let the clutch out. Back in the house with a cold beer so all is not lost !
I went with the grey case Duracell as suggested by many. Not impressed, the old Autozone battery the previous owner installed - that was too small to begin with - did just as well. After 6 months the battery is struggling to get that first spin.
Well my Deka lasted just as long as the factory battery. I have had other bikes that i got 6 or 7 years out of the batteries, but they were not one of these new bikes with all the electronics on them. My new Big Crank will be here on Wednesday . Hope it lasts as long as the other one.
On a side note, i could not see any gain buying a one of the 500 amp batteries if it does not last any longer than the one i had. I do carry a jump pack with me because it's a trike and popping the clutch is not going to happen.

Audew and it seems to work really well. It's been laying in the trunk of the wife's car all summer and i throw it in the tour pack when on the bike. Have not charged it since Feb. 2022 and was still at 100%. Spun my tri-glide over like nothing and only came down to 99 %. You can charge you cell phone, Lap top or anything else. I even used it to power my spot light when out on my buddies farm.
Pretty damn small and comes in a nice case.

Well i received my new battery today They sent me a battery that was made last Feb. 2022. New battery that's already 6 months old. Been on the Tender all day and is still red. The amps are there 552 is what it read with my tester. The voltage is 12.4 which is down.
So what does every one think of this ? Run it or send it back ?
One more thing is i watched the Fed X guy deliver the battery and he just had to drop it from 2 feet. Just couldn't set it down nice and easy. Damn dunce.
