Those of you running the 16207-97D mount, does it get better with miles? I just put one on and it is horrible. I replaced a GlidePro that failed after 17,000 miles. Been riding for 50 years and this is as bad as the solid mount shovels.

There was some talk on another technical forum I read...
Many there believe the new HD "D" mount is no where near as good as the original "B" mount. A poster on that forum found comparable mounts to the "B" mount offered by the original maker of the "B" mount, Barry Controls that are distributed by Novibration.com. Per an engineer there, the 507-1NS mount is the same as the original "B" mount. A few people tried them and found the #2 mount (507-2NS) was better, just a little stiffer.. They claim the 507-4NS mount is about the same stiffness as the "D" mount..
Best news is that the mounts were like $20, with $20 shipping, and still cheaper than the HD mounts...
