Default Clearview windshield help

I need some feedback. Im gettin ready to place my order for my clearview windshield for my 07 RG. My question is do I go with the stock height, 1" or 2" ?? Im not really interested in anything taller than 2". My stock height now I think looks great but to get any protection I have to crouch dowbn in a sport stance. So I think getting a stock height is out. Im wondering if the 1 " is gonna make a difference or if i should just go for the 2" .Hell I guess maybe the 3" ? Daamn im confused. Wanna do this right once !

I emailed them and gave them my height, inseam, and type of seat. I have a '07 RG with stock seat and stock windshield. I'm 6'1" with 33 inseam. They recommended Large (+2") over stock winshield.. I went with that. Ordered 7/12. Looking at another 4 weeks for delivery - 6 to 8 weeks backorder. There are measuring guidelines on their website.

I'm 5'10 with 30 inseam. Im runnin a danny gray seat thats lower than stock. Right now my nose and eyes peak out over the top of the windshield. My brain is tellin me for a windshield to be effective it should provide som eye protection. I guess that would mean a 2" over ??

I agree.. E-Mail them or Call them - They're the experts...
I have a '07 RG and I'm 6'4" - and have there Small (by choice it's 1" shorter - 2" wider) and it has better wind protection then the OEM shield... Keep in mind you want to look OVER the shield & with there curved design it moves the wind up higher... Just plan on waiting a few weeks for shippment... There a bit backed up still...

It sounds like if you add an inch or two the windshield may break right at your line of sight. Let me say that it is no fun. You could always order the same height with the recurve and you should end up with better wind protection. Today I received an 8" recurve smoke for my Ultra; I ordered it two weeks ago. Anyway, looks to be high quality and on first rideperformed nearly as well asmy stock 12".

I'm having the same dilemma myself. After talking with one of the guys at clearview, he made some suggestions based on height and inseam. I'm 6'3" with a 34 inseam. He suggested a large or extra large, but I'd rather not get a shield that big. All I'm after is to have the wind kick up just a little bit higher to stop the buffeting.

Based on what I've read, comparing the stock height clearview to the stock harley shield isn't the same. The clearview is wider and has a recurve at the top. Anyway, I've been fussing about it for a while. I think what I'll probably do is just order the stock heightor maybe the medium and work my way up from there. They will take the shield if you keep the film on it. The fellow I spoke with also suggested that if you returned it for a different size, they would expedite the replacement order so it wasn't another 6-8 weeks.

My biggest problem I have is that im always going back and forth ducking under the shield and sitting straighter looking completely over it. I find myself focusing too much on it and not enough on the road.

I'm 6'4" inseam 35" have a Sundowner Seat and even with the OEM windshield I almost never had a problem with buffeting (well I do over 85 MPH)... I always set back in my seat and use my backrest... Even with the Smaller HD (10 or 11") I was good till around 60 or so MPH??? Could be your helmet visor catching the wind???

Sound likethe top isright in your line of sight. I guess you could go either up or down. Seems likelooking over or through a windshield is a matter of preference, but I definitely prefer to look over.
