Default Exhaust

Anyone know if an exhaust from a 2012 Road King will work on a 2001 Road King? I found a great deal on a Vance and Hines Big Radius exuast, but am unsure of the fitment. The Vance and Hines web sire does not even list this for pre 2007 models

I think the only difference would be the O2 sensor bungs may be different. Because the Big Radius don't cross over the oil pan is not a concern and should fit physically, but you may need an adapter for the O2 sensors.

Most of the time the fitment years for touring exhaust are 09 - 16, 17 - ... etc so if they fit the 12 my guess is they won't fit the 01.

What about them is different? The info I got was from people doing exactly what you were doing. The issues they had were the oil pan for cross over pipes and the O2 sensors.

Not trying to push, more curious about what I missed.

From what I have read is that the frame on the 08 and up bikes is wider, make the fittment a challenge. Seems like it would be more than just fabricating a bracket or two.

I could be wrong…
But I think the frames are longer…and the wider in the rear along with the swing arm to accommodate the wider rear tire.
Like she said… both width and length come into play here.. I think
