Its not the same sprocket shaft spacer. I just did one of each. I don't know measurements thought. but because I did it, just pointing out lots of things to think about.

They add a thin spacer behind comp nut for road kings, proving a little make a different. Not even width of a washer.

I think that spacer is optional to get the sprockets aligned. My 00 FXDX and 02 RK did not have one..

They are not touring bikes though. Touring bikes low out put called for it. So maybe something else different too. But yes I think it was for alignment

He is mixing and matching parts from touring bike and dyna.

FLHR from that era had a low output stator . By 06 I think all touring bikes had same stator and rotor.

Again my point is all 88s are not same.

Yep and what he's trying to do is use a 3 phase rotor in a early bike and as a result he needs to check rotor spacing.

The FLHR had the same stator as other touring baggers.. Rotors were different. Heavier magnets. One of the reasons why HD finally went 3 phase in 06. There are a lot of pre 2006 bikes with a fairing that were burning up stators.

The only problem I have with what you are saying is that the 0.020 is needed when may or may not be needed. The important thing that needs to be done is correct the inner spacer between the crank bearing and the rotor. It's not 0.020 but 0.200" The 0.020 spacer may or may not be needed to align the primary chain. Spec on alignment is 0.030"

I have no idea what he needs for a spacer. Never said I did. Just pointing out there was a spacer used on FLHR due to low out put. Then you may have different sprocket shaft pacers. Though not sure that effects stator
