Help "Speed?"
How fast can you go on a New bike for the first 500 miles? I went with a buddy of mines and his dealership told for the first 50 mile 60 and after 50 miles 70 until you reach 500 miles. Another friend just told me he can only do 50 for the first 500 miles.

The first 50-100 miles just run it easy. The important thing hear is no lugging the engine and heat cycles, up to temp and full cool down. No one does this but thats what you want. After that run it through the full RPM range just don't beat it. Change the oil early then run it a little harder after that switch to sythetic oil. As long as the engine has some time to through some oil and worm up you will have no problems. Problems like piston scuffing come from to much heat and not warming it up properly.

Old school if you want it to run fast break it in fast. Oh and many years of dragibikes best ET:7.37 two different bikes best MPH 192 I was the builder and tuner.
