Not to mention you are actually counter-steering at speeds over 10-15mph

Welcome to the forum.

I think you will be fine, but...

I would just get the Street Glide and your problem is fixed, no worries about lights not turning with the fairing, etc.

BONUS: You will be able to find your Street Glide among all those damn Road Glides that are now everywhere!

"BWFFBW"- If you know, you know.

I can't tell if this is satire or not. It's so grounded in truth!

At any appreciable speed your front wheel is angled the opposite direction of the turn to induce the lean and allow the bike to go the way you want it to, so realistically you’re going to see through turns better on a road glide than a street glide.

Don't do much night riding any more but have had many bikes with frame mount fairings and that old argument of wanting the light pointing the direction you turn is a non issue.

I understand what you're saying, but that's not entirely accurate. The wheel still faces the direction of travel in the turn. The counter steer makes the bike fall into the turn and the wheel follows the path of travel, so the headlight isn't facing the opposite direction of travel.

But the dual RG headlights provide a lot of light.

It's not a issue at all. Another "over thinking it" subject.
