Do any of you guys/gals ever use the head breather bolts instead of all the lines and a catch can. I got mine from TC brothers. They screw right in to the heads and have a mesh screen and a foam filter. Very neat and clean. I get a very light mist of oil from them if running the bike kinda hard but never a mess ever.

I installed a small catch can inside the stock air filter cover on my bike. Its an evo engine but the previous owner put a twin cam air filter arrangement on it, not the stock round one. I saw somewhere on this site where somebody had used a small pill bottle, so I just borrowed the idea. It works well and so far all I've seen in it is basically water, no oil. Very little when running on the highway but a bit more if around the city with cold/hot starts etc. Pretty slick and simple as you get a visual of what it collects.

The pill bottle just collects the moisture and lets the air escape into the air filter cover where it mixes with any incoming air. So no water etc actually gets into the carb/engine.

I actually plan on replacing the pill bottle with a small aluminum container with a drain hose. It will all still fit inside the cover, but make it a bit more of a permanent solution.

I put a small filter on mine but when I went to look for it later all I found was the end of the rubber tubing. Probably got raped the first time I rolled over a speed bump.

I used their head breathers also and ran to a K&N type filter to the lower frame on the left side, no catch can.
