I love bikes and cars more than most but come on. I had a hard time spending 30000 on my 2006 Crew cab 4x4F150(which stickered at 36000) but Yeah its worth it for my family vehicle and weekend do it all hauler. I "bargain bought" my 2004 40th Anniversary Mustang GT Convertible with 18000 lady ownedmilesand a 5 speedfor well under17000 -most are still going for close to 20000. Great car by the way!!But 35000 for a motorcycle?? NAH I don't think so. I live in the Northeast and I DO ride in the winter as long as theres no cinders on the road and its not too too cold. I mean I would thinkits a great performing bike (dare I say except for the tranny and heat issues) but thats a lot of money for a seasonal vehicle by any working mans standards. Even well paid guys like me. I know if you break down the upgrades its a "bargain" but no matter what its still a motorcycle albeit the top of the HD heap but it still is what it is and nothing more.
Those who have it, spend it. A buddy of mine has an 06 SE Ultra, an 05 Harley pick-up and just bought his g/f an 05 SE Fat Boy. If I had it like that would I buy a $35k bike?? Dunno because I am not in that situation.
I agree it is a bargain with all of the upgrades. But to me the upgrades don't fit my tastes. Too much bling. So they would be removed anyway. I'd much rather start with a clean slate and build my idea of a custom.
<snippage> ....I'd much rather start with a clean slate and build my idea of a custom.
yeah,... and you got a sweet new clean slate there to start with! LOL!!
Your ladylooks pretty damn happy too! Having fun with it?!
I kinda agree.. if I was loaded I'd buy whatever I wanted and maybe 2 of 'em. But, I have other priorities in life too.. like putting my two kids through college, which costs me about a SE Ultra a year for the past 5 or 6 years.. ...so maybe one of these days. But it's a lot of fun planning and building a bike too.. just gotta have more than one, so when one is in the shop you're riding the other.

i think i would rather spend 35k on a hd than i would 75 (or twice that) on a pos occ thats even LESS practical.
..I would rather spend 20 grand on a streetglide or ultra and take the 15 grand and put a JIMS 120" or maybe an S&S 124 and a have a real screamer with money left over for some serious bling.
