Hi All. I have a 2010 FLHTK, Ultra Glide Limited that I bought a couple of months ago. Unless I am missing something, it does not have the quick detach option for removing the top trunk . Is there a kit available that I can retrofit to my bike to make it a quick release? I would not mind running without the top trunk sometimes. Thanks in advance.

This is a great option. 15 minutes transforms the bike with a seat swap and quick detach of the tour pak.
We did my brothers 2010 last year, the toughest thing on it is the passengers headset jack. It's mounted to the tour pack via a spring that keeps it pulled into its socket. When you take the tour pack off, the passenger headset jack needs to stay with the bike, so it can be easily re-attached when you put the tour pack back on... if you want it... (unlike the 2014 and up models, there is not just a couple connectors to unplug and everything in the tour pack is disconnected). I couldn't find an "easy" way of un plugging the passenger headset jack, so we "found a place" to stash it under the seat (with it's long stem) when the tour pack is off. The rest of the stuff (speakers, lights, etc) can be unplugged, although not as "convenient" as the 2014 and later models.
Instead of a kit, we just bought a used HD 4-point dock (2010 docks use 3 bolts to mount each side to the bike) off the classifieds here for $100 (in great condition), got like new OEM strut covers with the "extra hole" like you'll need for $60 off eBay, and a chrome HD tour pack bracket for $150 ($350'ish total shipped). The strut covers, you'll probably need to get the ones with the extra hole that you're gonna need for the dock to mount (your factory ones won't have the holes in the right place), they're out there and easy to find, you just got to be sure to buy the right ones, so you don't wind up with a set like you already have
He didn't like the tag mount in the kit (specially with tour pack off), so he put the tag under the tail light with one of these https://www.customdynamics.com/harle...on-mount?cat=2
and used a lit tag frame like this https://www.customdynamics.com/radiu...d-illumination
Then a tail light lens without a tag window (like off a Road King). Now it doesn't matter if the tour pack is on or off...
So the tag was $150'ish to get it like he wanted, instead of what would have came in the "kit".
For AM/FM antenna, we used a hidden antenna in the fairing, and no more than he uses it it has worked fine... he didn't have the CB antenna to deal with. No more dealing with the antennas when taking tour pack off or putting it on.
Which nostalgic saddlebag guards are you running? I don't harley makes them anymore. I see after market ones for sale, but never know how good they are. I put mine on my side and scratch the bags a little. Kinda sucks they took them off, and charge more for limited.
If you decide to get the detachable kit check out FaceBook marketplace and eBay. Might be able to save a couple bucks on a good used one. That’s what I did!

Thanks for the link. This has been on my "want" list too. I'd like to be able to take my tourpak once in a while just to change things up. I wonder if the weight difference/handling is noticable.
Thanks for all the tips!!!! Lots of great advice here, I will have plenty of time to do some research and make the changes. Our loooooong Canadian winter has arrived!!!!!! As the bike is new to me, I plan on going through it from front to back, top to bottom anyway this winter.

I can't tell you which brand or make the guards are. They were on the bike when I bought it a month or so ago. Previous owner told me he got all the extra chrome at the HD dealer.
