1993 electraglide charging problems

1993 electraglide charging problems
This electraglide is not charging correctly. It will charge at higher rpm but loses power other wise. Regulator is new as well as the battery. I am not sure if it is a bad battery, bad stator, or it is grounding out. Bike is my son's. Any suggestions?

Use a meter and check the voltage. If the bike is off you should have 12 VDC or so. If running at idol you should have 13 to 14.If you don't have a meter take battery to a auto store and have them test it.
