That's a very nice bike but the first thing I would do is lose those handlebars, not a fan of those. As far as cam chain tensioners, that's an 09 so you don't have to worry, it has the upgraded system.

Good to know re the tensioners. Sounds like the compensator is a bigger deal so I'll watch for excessive backfiring...
What type pf bars do you prefer? I had 16"Carlini's on my old '09 and they looked great...but that was built to be more stripped-down. I'm also 6'2" but torso more like a 6'4" guy so the apes were very comfortable. For a classic, however, I am also not sure I'll want to keep that look in this case..
That's a sharp looking ride ya got there sgnden! Definitely not the oem 2-1-2 headpipe from Harley you can tell by looking at the heatshields. It's a true dual setup and both V&H and Bassani share that same look.

Right. I could also make-out the V&H logo and zoomed-in but could not see a seam and the diameter was all consistent for the full-length, etc. I was surprised that the shop guy reported back to the sales gal that it had slip-ons. Hey, at least I don't need to pull-down some old Bubs mufflers to slip-on!
True dual headpipes still mate up to slipon mufflers. Vance and Hines stamps their logo into their mufflers not the headpipes so it's anyone's guess who makes your header. But if you see the V&H logo on the mufflers chances are the previous owner also installed V&H headpipes also. Either way....they should sound much better than stock but don't expect any real noticeable power gains.

Understood. I am not the guy who thinks pipes and a/c are going to suddenly boost the HP (whatever you get from better airflow, anyway) but yeah, sounds a LOT better. I recall on my first one10 years ago I had installed a PC3, Fuel Moto a/c and slip-ons...do these even "need" an EFI tuner? Again, only about a zillion threads out there on the topic I'll get into after I get the bike later this week.
Back in 2009 when the new touring platform came out, there wasn't very many choices for headers. V&H was one of the first to come out for the new touring models of 2009.
I had those V&H true duals with some Rinehart's mufflers. Man, you could hear me coming down the street a mile away! Not bad sounding at all. Of course, life moves on and I
don't have those on my Rig.

While I’m the first one to say, I love my full dresser, lowers, fairing and radio…there’s just something magical about a nice king with wide white wall tires, spoke rims…
Nice looking ride and congrats!!

Everybody has their own taste, but I've always preferred stock bars, both for the look and the comfort. I owned over 40 motorcycles in my life and every one of them had the stock bars.
