2015+ Road Glide Owners: Are your T-bars/MX bars and riser blocking your radio
I am debating switching out my 12" KST Spearheads for some T-Bar / MX Bar style handlebars. However, I just went through a very tedious process to convert my 2015 RK into a RG, and I have a gorgeous HDHU14+ head unit that has been amazing. I love having the carplay stereo available to me on longer trips, and I am not willing to give up the use of the screen.
However, having run T-Bars on my Dynas in the past, I am thinking about making the jump. So my question:
For those of you running T-Bars or MX Bars+risers, is your screen blocked from your view? Also, which bars and/or riser setup are you running?
Thanks in advance!!!
I went this way on my 17 in an effort to avoid buying a gauge relocation and spending the money, now Im spending the money twice because I can only see 1/2 my gauges.
Thrashin 6.5 risers, pullback plate, mid bend bars, and gauge relocation bracket will get you a clear view of both gauges and head unit, its about 1500 bucks vs the 450 or so from Kage Fighters. But now Ill be out 1950 instead of 1500 because I tried to save a few bucks.
After 28 years of hot rods and bikes, I should understand buy once cry once, but sometimes I still make mistakes 😂😂

1) Thrashin Supply 6.5 pullback risers
2) Thrashin Supply RG adapter
3) Thrashin Supply High Bend Bars
After the feedback here AND some additional feedback on a few RG facebook groups, I decided this is the best way to retain the full use of my screen. I care less about the gauges, and I think I am going to just rock the stock nacelle with the cut-out. I may even keep using a road king special console with the gauge on tank and bypass the issue of the gauges behind the risers (i.e. run both sets of gauges because the speedo/tach from RG must be wired up in order to allow gauges in fairing to function properly). The beauty of my rig is that I have a ton of RK parts available from my conversion, so I can mess with a few different setups until I find the one that works best for me regarding the gauges.

The screen is pretty hard to block unless you go really tall or move your gauges to the top clamp.
I have 14" Tbars and can see 100% of my screen.
The gauges are a different story, theyre totally blocked. With my old 6.5" risers I could see most of them, but not the odometer and the lower numbers.
