Awhile back someone was talking about some stuff you can put in your tires to prevent and/or stop leaks. Sounds like a good idea, especially if you have laced rims like me. I don't know what the stuff is called or where to buy it. Can anybody help?
I put SLIME in the grandkids bike tires to prevent leaks from thorns, goatheads, etc. Never thought about wheather it would work in a MC tire, but I guess it would.
The only problem with adding anything to a highspeed tire is whether or not you might effect the balance of the tire.
Very good point Bill. When I was in the rental business we ran slime in all our tires but the manufacture of the slime suggest not running it in hi way tires due to balance problems.I think I would just carry a can with me and use it if I need it.The large can has enough pressure to inflate the tire enough to get to the next stop.

Ok, to clarify.
The stuff I saw was specifically designed to squirt into a motorcycle tire, didn't effect the high speed handling or balance and the guys that used it loved it. Unfortunately, the site was in England with no links to local (North American) dealers. Sounded like it was the real Mccoy!
