Die grinder worked really well. I do think Im still going to have to de-pin one of the wider connectors but that's why it's a project, right? hah

take pictures of all your connectors and also write out the color codes for the wiring.

Good advice there! Did my bars last year. Everything depinned and internally wired. Pics, diagrams, labels etc are crucial.
Its an expensive job to farm out so you save yourself a boat load. Plus a great sense of accomplishment!

True that, plus I’m not having to lengthen my brake or clutch lines since I only did a 10” bar. I’m so happy with the pullback on them, can’t wait to get them on and adjusted and put some miles on

road king special. Stock bars are “9.5” and the carlini ones say they’re 10”. Putting them right next to each other tho they have to be measuring from different points because they are nearly identical. If I have to lengthen the wires tho I see that Dennis Kirk has them and also KST does as well, I’m hoping I can get away without it.

I used plug and play wire extensions when I had the 12" KST bars. With 10" I thought you could avoid wire extensions.

only wild card is the turn signals, I don’t know about them because I don’t actually have the bars off yet. I don’t really want to bother with soldering because I’ve seen my (lack of) skills when it comes to that 😂
