Good advice there! Did my bars last year. Everything depinned and internally wired. Pics, diagrams, labels etc are crucial.
Its an expensive job to farm out so you save yourself a boat load. Plus a great sense of accomplishment!

road king special. Stock bars are 9.5 and the carlini ones say theyre 10. Putting them right next to each other tho they have to be measuring from different points because they are nearly identical. If I have to lengthen the wires tho I see that Dennis Kirk has them and also KST does as well, Im hoping I can get away without it.

I used plug and play wire extensions when I had the 12" KST bars. With 10" I thought you could avoid wire extensions.

only wild card is the turn signals, I dont know about them because I dont actually have the bars off yet. I dont really want to bother with soldering because Ive seen my (lack of) skills when it comes to that 😂
