Almost any lifters beat the OEM Harley Davidson lifters. I've been told that lifter replacement was a prescribed maintenance item on EVOs at about 30k miles (don't know if that's true). I replaced my OEM lifters a couple of months ago with Feuling lifters (and oil pump) on my 2018 Heritage 114 when I had a bad rattling problem at startup that began when I was out West in June 2022 (about 33k miles). Problem solved. If I'm still riding actively, I may just do another lifter replacement on my new 2022 Heritage before I hit 30k miles.

Last I checked, AMS lifters are no longer available, and Topline is making the Hylift Johnson lifters here in the USA, in Muskegon, MI...

I have used the Topline Hylift-Johnson lifters in several different engines. I have not had an issue... one of those is a Stage IV build... not radical, but healthy.

The Johnson Hylift are a good value in a solid, well made and good performing lifter.... I wouldn't doubt if there were clones/copies out there, but that is easy to avoid..

I get my lifters form WFO Larry, Larry's Motorcycle & Machine. He deals directly with the Hylift-Johnson factory, backs his products, and offers the real thing Hylift-Johnson lifters at a fair price...

My bike now has 2,563 miles on it and the warranty runs out mid July of '23 so I will change the lifters and guide cuffs shortly after that. I have seen the Hylift lifters on e-bay cheaper than the other place but am thinking I will not take that chance. Engine does not have any start up noise now but I would think that it shouldn't at this mileage.
