Hi all, I just bought a new RGS. We'll be traveling this upcoming season. I'm having the 4 point docking hardware installed and I'll need a detachable backrest and rack. What do you have?
Check the forum and craigslist for deals. Also i learned the hard way. The tall sissy bat and king rack are best for holding your stuff down. Any will do the trick but those give you the most versatility to tie down your stuff

This was the set up on my 2019 RGS. All HD parts. You can add the light to airwing luggage rack which is nice. Nothing wrong with a bit of extra light on these bikes. Bars are12" Paul Yaffee Monkey bars. Blinker Lights are Ciro.
I priced up an HD backrest, pad, and airwing rack and it comes to about $600. I started looking around FB marketplace, and craigslist and ended up with this setup for $175. Great deal, previous owner hardly used this and it clicked right onto my docking hardware. I do like the airwing rack because of the additional taillight. This will do for now, if anyone sees a taillight option for this rack I bought, I believe it's called an HD King Detachable luggage rack, I'd appreciate any info. If not, I'll just get an airwing rack/taillight later.
