Def dont buy hogtunes. You can get way more for your money. I have Mmats in the fairing, Hertz in the lowers , all powered by a Soundstream amp.I have no issues hearing it at highway speeds. Id advise you to check out the audio section
17 limited. What’s a good speaker to replace stock that won’t brake the bank?
What are you looking for. If your just looking for a better speaker and you are not adding an amp, the Hog Tunes will deffinately do exactly that. Hog Tunes also offer a amp package as well. The big question is what are you loooking for. If your looking for huge power and huge bass then maybe as others have mentioned there are other ways to get that type of sound.
might try posting in the audio section or having a moderator move this thread to there. youll get the typical questions which will help others help you.
what is your budget?
how many speakers?
installing yourself?
type of music?

Back in June of 2022 I had my fairing and lid speakers replaced with Ground Zero Yellow Baskets, and a SounDigital 800-watt EVOPS amp was installed. The installer also covered the backside of all speaker grills with 19-dollar hydrophobic speaker cloth from Amazon. I've ridden 30,000 miles already since June, from sub-freezing temps to triple digits and lots of rain. The system is holding up great and sounds much better than BOOM II. I paid $1600 total for parts, installation, EQ flash, and tune. I'd consider this a budget setup compared to what some of these other systems cost. Holding up to bad weather was my number one priority since we ride over 40k a year. So far, it's proven to be a robust system.
