Dakota Digitals
in truth, I've learnt to live with it and you don't notice it so much when you are actually riding. Because there wasn't a better digital option, and I've run DD in my rods & customs for years, I stuck my toe in the water and have been very happy with my DD. I like the way you can add/remove//colour/swap info
I still get irritated when it inverts due to the light and does not swap back quick enough (cause I'm staring at white squares with black digits) ...but a quick finger over the sensor and it plays ball
It's good KOSO has stepped up and given us an alternative... I personally find them a little 'busy' in the appearance dept, but do agree they fill the glass better. Look forward to seeing a set in the wild over here.
who replaced my large gauge surrounds. Its bugged me for a long while, pretty much since i got them actually.
if you look at the close up pics posted you'll see that the bottom edges of the square are not 100% and kinda looks like the paint had come away, or something has got between the glass and the gauge.
emailed support, told them the situation, they didn't even ask when and who they were purchased from and simply said "we'll send you a replacement! no charge"
arrived over this side of the pond last week
THANKS DAKOTA DIGITAL

Bunch of money will be wasted anyway

BUT...these gauges are just great - I am so happy I pulled the trigger!

So, after I paid to have my crooked gauges sent back to me, PG Customer Service said they'd take them back under their warranty!! So I told the guy I've been dealing with, take these back and send me a set of the DD's for my bike. Like $160 more, but I really don't care. After all this Koso crap, and doing a bunch of research, I think I'll be WAY ahead of the game with the new DD's when they get here next week. You can do SOOOOO many more things with the DD's compared to the Koso's too. I'll get over the square peg in the round hole thing real fast knowing what a better quality piece of equipment these are over the Koso's! Plus, lol, like 32 different color combo instead of 2?? Ok, I'll play with that, lol! And Bluetooth set up on the DD's too?!
Sorry so long, but I wanted this experience to get out to those who MIGHT be thinking about the Koso's over the DD's. YMMV
fwiw: The all-one-color scheme doesn't differentiate data and digits very well for my eyes at a glance. That was a huge factor in my decision to go with Dakota Digital. The selectable colors, bright leds, and somewhat simpler layout/visuals makes for great data acquisition with just a quick look while at speed. DD's looks may not suit everyone which is expected, but they are a superb instrument and definitely holding down the top spot in the market.
