I've got an 04 electra glide that I changed the intercom panel on the tank this morning. Have had no issues at all before this, but after swapping, now the ammeter is showing 10v or less while running and engine and battery light are on when driving but not at idle. Did not disconnect anything other than the panel and didn't mess with anything else. Please help...thanks

 

Double-check your work, chances are there’s a minor intermittent short under there.

 

An ammeter measure current. How is it giving you a reading in volts?

 

You are correct. I think he has a voltmeter. My 05 does.

Unplug the new panel and se if the problem goes away. Check the pins on the connector and are you sure the new connector is the same as the old?
